Helping to deliver the London 2012 Games
UPS is the Official Logistics and Express Delivery Supporter for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
The world is expecting the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to provide thrilling experiences, and the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is certain to deliver. That's because LOCOG appointed UPS as the Games' Official Logistics and Express Delivery Supporter. We are a Tier 2 domestic sponsor, with rights to the London 2012 Games.*
It's a natural fit for UPS. Just as the Olympic and Paralympic Games bring people together from all over the world, UPS connects businesses and people around the world every day.
UPS also has plenty of experience helping to deliver the Olympic and Paralympic Games in many locations, starting with the Atlanta 1996 Games. Most recently, UPS was the Official Logistics and Express Delivery Sponsor for the Beijing 2008 Games.

According to Dan Brutto, president of UPS International, “UPS's involvement with the Beijing Olympic Games helped drive our brand awareness throughout China while providing a global platform to demonstrate our capabilities. Similarly, we view our sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as a strategic investment in growing our business throughout the UK. UPS is committed to helping London make these Games an unparalleled success and it’s a great honour to be entrusted again with such a tremendous responsibility.”
Sebastian Coe, Chair of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, said, “Staging an Olympic Games and Paralympic Games is probably the biggest peacetime logistical undertaking in the world. UPS will bring a wealth of expertise to the planning and delivery of a spectacular Games in 2012—they have a great heritage in supporting the Games, global capabilities and we look forward to them being a vital part of the team. Having one single supplier to handle the majority of our complex transportation and logistical needs will benefit everyone. Our commercial programme continues to attract global interest and I’m thrilled that yet another high-profile brand is on board.”
